A lovely woman who transcended time, thanks to her indisputable style and elegance. She was educated in Holland and with a british heart has become a timeless character in the world of fashion.

It is impossible to think about elegance, glamour and style without remembering Audrey Hepburn. Born in Brussels in 1929, she was educated in Holland and her career began in England, at the Marie Rambert Ballet School which catapulted her into the cinema and made her a big star. However, further her talent as an actress, her name soon became synonymous with fashion. She inspired some designers and writers to make her designs and her books. Hubert de Givenchy created the fragrance L'Interdit for her in 1957 and since then she has become the muse of her creations and the most faithful promoter of her designs in her Hollywood movies. But Audrey, did not inspire only men, as we mentioned above have been written several books about it, however our favorites are those of Pamela Keogh writer of several books, and publications about fashion and style in magazines like Vanity Fair, People, InStyle among others. Keogh brought Audrey to life in two books: Audrey Style and What Would Audrey Do? in which she takes a journey through the life, tastes, loves and dislikes of the Belgian actress who remains an icon today.

But what was really Hepburn's legacy to become timeless? Carmen Mañana from the newspaper El País , the most important in Spain, summarized it as follows: "It was exceptional, but not unreal. Far from representing an unattainable model, as other actresses did and do, Hepburn embodied, from her role in Sabrina, the authentic myth of Pygmalion*, the promise that any woman could be transformed into an improved version of herself".

The simplicity, class and elegance in each of her outfits since her performance at Sabrina left a legacy that we all remember today. Her favorite color: black, made that in each one of her steps the glamour stole all the looks. Pencil skirts, long gloves, Ballerina style shoes and very delicate earrings were part of the closet of this Belgian muse.
Breakfast at Tiffany's ,( 1961) is considered by many a waste of elegance and style, where the actress in each scene shows imposition of a new paradigm of feminine modernity from which every woman could be rebellious without losing the savoir faire and style.
For Petite Fashion Atelier, Audrey is without a doubt a timeless icon that will continue to inspire thousands of women around the world, beyond copying her style to develop an awareness of femininity and elegance in each of us, so no doubt Hepburn was a character that had to go through our blog. Fashion without its vintage look today would be meaningless. All women have a little bit of Audrey in them. And you, you know what your biggest talent is? Find out!
